Welcome to the NEW Prairie Cat FTP site
Here are the hoops I need you to jump through to ensure a successful outcome without delay for your project:
HOOP #1: The ONLY audio formats that will be accepted and not INSTANTLY DELETED are .WAV or .AIFF with a sampling rate
of 44.1 khz and 16-bit resolution. You can choose to send the .WAV or .AIFF as an uncompressed DATA file, if you
choose to do so, you must send it at the 44.1 khz and 16-bit resolution and you must identify each cut with a designation that indicates the side and the
track number i.e. A1, B1, etc. Absolutely do not send any MP3 files or any iTunes files or any other data compressed audio
format, of which there are many. These types of files will have a negative effect on the final outcome of your vinyl project.
In my opinion using "high resolution audio files" to cut vinyl masters from has no benefit to the outcome of the project.
I have tested these formats myself and find no audible difference between any uncompressed audio file when used to master vinyl.
If you have an Alesis Masterlink any of the resolutions available on the Masterlink will work just fine. However these discs must be shipped
to me and will not be accepted for upload.
HOOP #2: The only way that these audio file transfers can be accomplished will be for you to contact me only by phone at 815-547-9500
during the business hours of 9:00 AM - 9:00 PM Monday through Friday, Saturday 10:00 AM - 5:00 PM, United States Central Time.
HOOP #3: Once you have a login and password, you may use this link to upload your file.
I think that pretty much covers it for the audio side of your project. Sorry about all the hoops to jump through but this is the only way that I can offer
this service and still maintain the time I need every day to cut master lacquers.
* HOOP #4: I am able to take your Visa, Mastercard or Discover over the phone only.
If you still need to mail your payment to me, send it to the address below.
